Alain Stoessel

Alain STOESSEL is a graduate of the École Polytechnique (X87), an ENSPM engineer (École des Pétrole et Moteurs) and holds an MBA from INSEAD (99D).

He started his career at the Institut Français du Pétrole as a researcher in the fields of scientific calculation and applied mathematics. In 2000, he joined Bain & Company in Paris in the “Private Equity and M&A” practice where he worked on numerous European and global transactions at both the due diligence and post-acquisition stages. In 2007, Alain was recruited by the investment fund Bain Capital in London to join the Portfolio group and contributed to numerous industrial and technological participations such as FCI, Ideal Standard, NXP, EWOS… as Operating Partner or interim manager.

In 2016, he founded with 3 other partners the investment fund Core Equity Holdings in Brussels and raised 1 billion Euros to invest in 3 growth platforms: Idverde, Portman Dental and Provalliance. In particular, he will be an Operating Partner and member of the Supervisory Board of Idverde Group, the European leader in workspaces with nearly 20 acquisitions in Europe in 3 years and a doubling of turnover to nearly €900M by 2021.

Alain STOESSEL will join X-PM in December 2022 as Associate Director.
